Since 2018, overall, residents have a positive perception of Missouri City, calling it an excellent or good place to live. Compared to other communities, Missouri City has continued to rank much higher than the U.S. and Texas averages. Additionally, residents in all parts of Missouri City are satisfied with the City as a place to raise children.

 To continue being an excellent place to live, the community’s top priorities include City street maintenance, sidewalks and infrastructure; communications; and public safety services.

The ETC Institute, a full service call center for surveys, conducted the City's Citizen Survey in 2020, the target for this measure has its foundation in Citizen Survey data collected from the ETC Institute in the Southwest and the United States. The United States average is based on a survey the ETC Institute administered to over 4,000 randomly selected residents from all across the country, and the survey administered to 420 residents living in Missouri City. 

Creating a great place to live by providing superior services is a key goal of the City of Missouri City and remains a priority of many City processes, projects, and initiatives.

Citizen Survey - The City of Missouri City Citizen Survey is administered by the ETC Institute, an organization founded to assist local governments in gathering data from residents for the purpose of enhancing community planning.
